Monte Vista's mission is to provide an engaging learning environment in which all students thrive.

Our Vision

At Monte Vista, we prepare students to become responsible, self-sufficient, and productive citizens, empowering them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

We are proud of our nurturing staff of highly-qualified certificated teachers who are dedicated to our independent learners. Our growing community of families regularly come together for special events and social activities. Our campus provides a wealth of optional learning activities to bring students together in an enriching environment. We have a MakerSpace (with 3D printer and Robotics), science labs, environmental/agricultural programs (with a small farm), foreign language classes and our Study Café where students can safely relax or study with free WiFi.

With a fully-accredited curriculum and the same teaching materials used throughout the Simi Valley Unified School District, our high school courses meet the A–G requirements for CSU/UC admission. We offer Advanced Placement and Honors classes, and Math and English labs for additional academic support. Because we are a public school, there is no direct cost to our families.
