At Monte Vista School, our Kindergarten through 12th grade students are engaged in hands-on learning experiences, whether at home or on our beautiful campus.

At Monte Vista School, our families are independent but they are never alone in their pursuit of a quality education. As the Independent Study-Homeschool Academy for the Simi Valley Unified School District, Monte Vista School provides families with fully-supported learning opportunities built around flexible schedules and programs to meet the unique needs of our students.

Our students range from those who work professionally in the entertainment industry or compete in high-level athletics to students who battle chronic health issues, enjoy learning independently or whose families choose homeschooling for their educational path. Whatever the reason, we ensure that every student thrives and succeeds in their individual educational goals.

We are proud of our nurturing staff of highly-qualified certificated teachers who are dedicated to our independent learners. Our growing community of families regularly come together for special events and social activities. Our campus provides a wealth of optional learning activities to bring students together in an enriching environment. We have an Imagination Center, MakerSpace (with 3D printer and Robotics), a digital library, science labs, environmental/agricultural programs (with a small farm), foreign language classes and our Study Café where students can safely relax or study with free WiFi and hot beverages.

With a fully-accredited curriculum and the same teaching materials used throughout the Simi Valley Unified School District, our high school courses meet the A–G requirements for CSU/UC admission. We offer Advanced Placement and Honors classes, and subject tutoring as needed. Because we are a public school, there is no direct cost to our families. For more information, or to schedule a private tour of our beautiful campus, please contact us directly at 805.579.6326. Thank you for your interest in our amazing school!
